About Me

Tom Cunningham has been providing psychological services in the Kalamazoo area since 1997, specializing in cognitive-behavior therapy. He received his graduate degree from Western Michigan University and has worked in a variety of clinical settings that have provided him with expertise in evidenced-based practices. Tom's therapy style balances being compassionate, validating, and empathetic, while encouraging and promoting change.

Specialty areas include working with adults and adolescents who have anxiety, emotion dysregulation, panic, agoraphobia, depression, suicidal behavior, self-harm behavior, relationship issues, and substance abuse. 

Tom is the father of one middle schooler and has been married for 32 years. He was born and raised in Kokomo, Indiana. He attended Indiana University and still roots for the Hoosiers. His favorite movies include (of course) Hoosiers and too many ’80s comedies to mention.
